KBS Classic FM of KBS (Korea Broadcasting System) has planned and developed the "Young Korean Performers" series. The series is known for its keen eye and has produced the first albums of Lim Yoon-Chang, Lee Hyeok, and the ESME String Quartet. Sohyun Kim will make her debut at the Kumho Concert for Gifted Children in 2020, and become the youngest winner of the Isay International Music Competition and the Leonid Kogan International Violin Competition in 2021 and the Thomas & Yvon Cooper International Competition in 2022. In 2022, she became the youngest winner of the Thomas & Yvon Cooper International Competition, and in 2023, she became the youngest winner of the Tibor Varga International Violin Competition. In January 2025, she was invited to perform as a soloist at the New Year's Concert of the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, where she will perform with music director Jaap van Zweden. Kim So-hyun, who has already performed with world-famous masters such as Kremer and Perenyi, has chosen the program for her debut album, which is centered around Grieg's Sonata No. 3. I chose repertoire that I think best expresses my playing," she says enthusiastically. The instrument used, G.B.
