The Moragues Woodwind Quintet was formed in 1980 by the three Moragues brothers, the eldest brother Michel and twin brothers Pascal and Pierre. The Moragues Woodwind Quintet is a super ensemble whose members are all graduates of the prestigious Paris Conservatory of Music, and all of whom have played in top French orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre de l'Opera de Paris, and Orchestre National de France. Indesens Calliope has reissued Ravel's famous recording by Claire Désert, another world-renowned French pianist. Maurice Ravel is one of the greatest orchestral artists of all time. In this album, David Valtaire, who is not only the oboe player of the ensemble but also a master arranger who has realized the expansion of the repertoire since its formation, has created a fine project with woodwind quintet and piano to reconstruct the masterpieces left by Ravel, who is called the wizard of orchestral music.France's world-class virtuosos masterfully depict a fascinating world of sound that blends the colors of Ravel's orchestral music with the subtlety of French music.
