Shichijo Keiko(Fp)+j.s & C.p.e.bach Mozart (1756-1791)
Description:
Keiko Shichijo's new recording is Mozart! New recording by Keiko Shichijo, active fortepiano player in the Netherlands! Van Swieten's Salon reproduced by a famous instrument made in 1802! Keiko Shichijo has been remarkably active in the Netherlands and other parts of the world, and is attracting attention as one of Japan's leading fortepiano players and keyboard players of ancient music. In her new recording on the prestigious Dutch label Challenge Classics, where she is currently based, Shichijo performs works from the late Mozart, J.S. Bach, and C.P.E. Bach on the theme of the salon of Van Swieten, a Dutch diplomat with whom Mozart had a close relationship. The new recording on the "J. S. Bach" label features works by J. S. Bach, C. P. E. Bach, and the late Mozart. It is said that Mozart regularly attended van Svieten's salons after 1782 and was exposed to the music of Bach and Handel, and in fact, "Sonata No. 14 in C minor, K. 457" incorporates the theme of Bach's "Musical Offering" as a tribute to this great master. The fact that "Sonata No. 14 in C minor, K. 457" incorporates a theme from Bach's "Musical Tribute," as if in homage to the great master, reminds us of the great influence of the music of the great Bach. The "Fantasia," written as a prologue to Sonata No. 14, is said to have been influenced by C.P.E. Bach's "Fantasia," and the experience gained in the "Salon van Svieten" greatly developed Mozart's style and further evolved him as an artist. The program is a wonderful opportunity to hear how Mozart's style developed and evolved further as an artist. The instrument Keiko Shichijo is playing is a rare fortepiano made in 1802 by "Frères et Suhl Stein," a piano manufacturing company established in 1794 by Nanette Streicher and Matthäus Andreas Stein, sisters and brothers. This instrument was one of the finest fortepianos used in salon concerts at the time of its production, but it had been unplayable for a long time. It is an ideal instrument for this recording. Keiko Shichijo is well known for her performances of classical and romantic music as well as modern and contemporary music on the modern piano. The performance will bring you new discoveries by staying close to the changes in Mozart's style and creativity, while also valuing his own sensibility! Tokyo M-Plus
