Makoto Ozone played Mozart and Beethoven's piano concertos at the "Chopin and His Europe" International Music Festival 2006 & 2007 live! Makoto Ozone received great acclaim for his unique interpretation of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 "Junom" and his jazzy cadenza. The Polish National Chopin Institute's own label, NIFC, which presides over the festival, has released rare live recordings of Makoto Ozone from 2006 and 2007! Makoto Ozone, one of Japan's leading jazz pianists, has been active internationally in classical music performances and cross-genre crossover projects, including the 2006 Chopin Festival with Aleksandr Rabinowicz-Barakovsky & Sinfonia Varsovia. He performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 with Alexander Rabinovich-Barakovsky & Sinfonia Varsovia at the Chopin Festival in 2006, and played fortepiano in the same piece in 2024 with the Historical Orchestra, but this performance was on a Steinway.And at the 2007 Chopin Festival Live, she also performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2, conducted by Tadaaki Otaka. Together with the improvisation on Chopin's Waltz played as an encore, this is a highly anticipated live recording release.
