The Collegium Vocale Seoul (CVS), founded in 2007, is a professional choral ensemble in Korea that has received high praise for its "breathtakingly beautiful performances of sacred choral works from the Renaissance to the Romantic era" and for its "refined and harmonious harmonies combined with clear vocalization and pronunciation. Through awards at international choral competitions and successful subscription concerts, CVS has established a reputation as a specialist in church music in Korea. In April 2014, after a choral seminar in Seoul, German master Frieder Bernius said, "A choir will undoubtedly grow more and more as long as it has spontaneous joy and musical curiosity about music.Collegium Vocale Seoul has a great passion for singing, and I am confident that it will continue to grow." The performance of Mozart's Requiem, featuring top-class Korean soloists such as Rocky Chung, is worthy of the high acclaim the group has received. The Collegium Vocale Seoul also performed with Bach Collegium Japan Music Director Masaaki Suzuki at the Seoul Arts Center in 2016 and again in September 2024 with him as conductor in a critically acclaimed performance of Bach's "Mass in B minor".
