Boundless" is the first album by The HarmonicS, a duo ensemble of harmonica player Park Johnson and classical saxophonist Brandon Choi! The ensemble's two-instrument style, harmonica and saxophone, is very innovative, but above all, the harmony of the two instruments' fascinating and distinctive musical colors and Park Johnson and Brandon Choi's willingness to take on new challenges is remarkable. The album title, "Boundless," also means "beyond boundaries," and The Harmonics' efforts are sure to bring about free musical exploration and new discoveries beyond the boundaries of genres and styles.Although both the harmonica and saxophone were created in the 1840s and have a history of nearly 200 years, they have never been blessed with a place in the mainstream classical music scene. However, following in the footsteps of many legendary artists who have pioneered the value and potential of these two instruments, Johnson Park and Brandon Choi have continued their passion for expanding the horizons of these instruments through a variety of performance activities, including recitals, ensembles, orchestral collaborations, and especially the introduction of premiere works and new commissions. They are passionate about constantly expanding the horizons of these instruments. The album "Boundless" is a well-balanced collection of music from a variety of styles, including classical and jazz, pop, OST, and contemporary, that offers an easy and natural way to enjoy the ensemble's seemingly unique composition of harmonica and saxophone. The music on this album is well balanced.The different charms of the harmonica's warm, lyrical, yet sometimes very light and flamboyant sound, and the saxophone's equally flamboyant, yet no less soft and deep sound of the woodwinds, combine with various genres and styles to invite the audience to a new musical experience that "crosses boundaries".
