Since the 2013–14 season, he has served as General Music Director of Dortmund and Principal Conductor of the Dortmund Philharmonic. In his cycle of Rachmaninoff’s three symphonies, which he began with his new ensemble, the Dortmund Philharmonic, Gabriel Feltz has demonstrated his prowess and keen musicality. His next recording project was a 2019 live performance featuring the choral symphony “The Bells,” which includes soloists and a choir, and Respighi’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” orchestrated from piano pieces. Gabriel Feltz, who was awarded the Rachmaninoff Prize by the Rachmaninoff Foundation in 2007 during his tenure with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, delivers a magnificent performance and interpretation of the “Bells” and a vivid rendition of “Pictures at an Exhibition”—please look forward to this rich and fulfilling performance!
