For example, Esplat's work, dedicated to Andrés Segovia but never seen the light of day for many years, is fascinating for its complex rhythms and harmonies. Herba's forgotten sonata has a sharp sense of harmony and free development that is uniquely his own, and Strassvogel's large-scale trilogy consists of a solemn prayer-like introduction, a lyrical elegy, and an exquisitely crafted finale. And Antonio José's sonatas vividly crystallize Spain's unique lyricism and modernity, all of which illustrate the rich diversity of 20th century guitar music. Christophe Desjour is a guitarist from Denmark. He has premiered many new works and arrangements, especially the complete arrangements of "Iberia" and "Goyescas" with Trio Campanella, which have won him international acclaim. Naxos Japan
