Description:
The Russian composer Scriabin and the Danish composer Lango. Both believed that through their own music they could pave the way, and the piano was a fitting instrument for the pursuit of their ideals. Scriabin pursued superhuman and mystical thoughts, and in his later years he established his own unique harmony called "mystical chords," which he used in his own works, as well as leaving behind enigmatic works with unique titles such as "Black Mass. Rango not only wrote mystical works, but also incorporated many experimental elements into his own works, such as the use of tone clusters and attempts to expand tonal music from an early stage of his career. He was also known as an enigmatic composer even during his lifetime, with many puzzling titles. This album contains representative piano pieces by these two composers. Among them, Langó's "Combustion Chamber" and Scriabin's "Toward the Flame" have such a similar atmosphere that they could be considered musical twins. Naxos Japan
