English composer Albert Ketelby is best known for his exotic and familiar melody "In the Persian Marketplace". At the age of 13, he received a Queen Victoria Scholarship to attend Trinity College of Music, where he studied with Gustave Holst. In 1929, he was named "Britain's Greatest Composer" for the number of times his works were performed. The piano pieces on this album are all beautiful with impressive melodies.
