The brass ensemble "Septura" is a group of London's best players, including Matthew Gee, who has been active as a soloist in recent years. The "Music for Brass Sextet, Vol. 7" is a collection of works by Gershwin and Copland, two of America's most famous composers. The American in Paris" is based on Gershwin's own stay in Paris and depicts in sound the liveliness and bustle of one of the most advanced cities in the world in the 1920s. On the other hand, Copland's "Quiet in the City" depicts the human drama (originally incidental music) of the quiet of New York City at night, which is bustling and vibrant during the day. After Gershwin's "Three Preludes," the ensemble's brilliant virtuosity exploded in Copland's "Appalachian Spring.
