Description:
Ignatz Lachner, a composer of the early Romantic period, was a great admirer and admirer of Mozart. He had an older brother, Franz Lachner, and was a close friend of Schubert, but he was not interested in the "Italian opera" that was popular in Vienna at the time, and he adored Mozart's works, which were considered "out of date" due to the aftermath of the French Revolution. Lachner decided to arrange Mozart's 27 piano concertos for chamber music, making these rarely performed pieces accessible to the public at the time. The arrangement, which does not use two cellos and uses a contrabass to enhance the low-pitched sound, succeeds in making the orchestration compact without overcomplication. The music from "The Magic Flute," whose arranger is unknown, is an attractive arrangement that was popular at the time. This arrangement is the perfect way to enjoy the famous melody of the opera.
