This is a recital album by guitarist Marco Topchie, winner of the Michele Pittaluga International Guitar Competition in 2017, who was born in 1991 in Ukraine, began playing guitar at the age of four, earned a master's degree from the Kharkov State Levski University of Arts in 2011, and has performed in a series of competitions around the world. He has won more than 90 prizes around the world, including the 56th Tokyo International Guitar Competition, and has even visited Japan, making him a familiar face to guitar lovers. Here, he has selected modern works ranging from neo-romanticism to Serie technique pieces, and has given a vigorous performance that makes the most of the unique characteristics of each piece. The selection is rich in variety, including José's original sonata in classical four-movement form, Martin's modern pieces written in the same year as José's sonata, Dianz's sonatina with a fantastic flavor, and technical works by Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Koschkin.
