Description:
László Leiter was one of the greatest composers of the first half of the 20th century in Hungary. After the end of World War II, he became the music director of the Hungarian Radio, and even in the midst of a gloomy world, he always created bright and brilliant works to lift people's spirits. He is best known for his patriotic symphonies, but he has also had success with his stage works. Capriccio" is based on a libretto by French writer François Gachot, and features Arlequin and Capetan in a satirical storyline. The music is full of wit, evoking a Parisian sextet. Naxos Japan
