The fourth collection in the series by the brass ensemble "Septura" is a collection of music from the 16th century, mainly works by the Italian composer Giovanni Gabrieli, who was also the starting point for the group. Here, they have done something unique by arranging a religious choral piece for brass ensemble, and the result is a highly accomplished work that blends brilliant sounds into the natural flow of the music without any discomfort. Septura's tight ensemble of sacred-school polyphony, the source of the different Renaissance choral traditions created by four different composers, each from a different country where they were active. 2015 London recording.
