The title of this album is "Grieg's Violin Concerto. However, many people may wonder, "Was there such a piece? I am sure there are many people who wonder, "Was there ever such a piece? This is a violin sonata reincarnated as a concerto by the well-known NAXOS violinist, Kraggerud. It is indeed a pity that Grieg (1843-1907), who wrote such a brilliant work as the "Piano Concerto," did not have a single violin concerto, and there is no music more suitable to fill the missing repertoire. The lineup is one that will make Grieg lovers weep with joy: the heroic No. 1, reminiscent even of Sibelius; the No. 2, a celebration of quiet beauty; and the No. 3, which seems to fit the bill to perfection.
