A good pianist is never a good teacher, but it seems that Chopin passed on his music to "those with truly great talent. Mikuli, who is nine years younger than Chopin, is said to be "the heir to Chopin's piano technique," but the harmony in the Polonaise of No. 1 is quite unique and advanced. It may not be the most sophisticated, but now that I hear it like this, I can say that it is quite interesting. The Norwegian pianist Tellefsen is a man who waited two and a half years to be allowed to become a pupil of Chopin. He then went on to establish himself in Paris. Filch studied with Chopin for only four years from the age of 11, but unfortunately died of pulmonary tuberculosis at the age of 15.His touch is said to have been similar to Chopin's, and this Impromptu No. 1 is a delicate work reminiscent of Chopin himself, and if he had lived at least another 20 years, he might have rewritten the history of the piano world. And Gutmann, unlike Chopin, was a large and powerful man, and Chopin dedicated the Scherzo No. 3 to him. He was one of the people whom Chopin truly trusted. Naxos Japan
