This is a requiem by Swiss-born composer Lütti (1949-). After studying piano and organ in Zurich, he heard a local choir in England and was so impressed by their high level of skill that he decided to write a choral work for them. Since then, he has published many choral works, including religious works, which are widely sung by choirs in England and the United States. This requiem, written for soprano and baritone solo voices, two sets of choirs, string orchestra, harp, and organ, is a work that "words are not powerful enough to relieve the emotions of those left behind, but music can.
