When you think of Dave Brubeck, the jazz pianist of yesteryear, the first thing that comes to mind is that "Take Five"? He gave us a great performance with a slightly rugged but very groovy sense of rhythm. However, the piece recorded here is a little different. The pieces on this disc, however, are a little different: a collection of stylish pieces titled "Nocturnes," written for children and sophisticated adults, all of which are a little jazzy, nostalgic, and full of flavor.
