To commemorate their upcoming show in Japan this September, "Live in Japan", a 2CD jewel case package live album recorded at their 1972 show in Osaka, Japan, will be re-released! Originally released in 1972 on analog in Japan only, and then globally released in 1996 as a 2-CD set by CHICAGO RECORDS, this live album is now available in Japan. In Japan, it was released in 2012 in a gorgeous paper-jacket edition to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its release, but it has been difficult to obtain for a long time since then. Since its formation in 1967, the brass-rock band Chicago has been energetically performing in concert for more than half a century and has continued to captivate fans around the world with their performances. The band has won numerous music awards including Grammy Awards, released 11 No. 1 singles and 5 No. 1 albums, and sold more than 120 million albums worldwide to date.The band has been on the brink of extinction many times, but each time they have resuscitated themselves and continue to deliver the best brass rock around the world, making them truly one-of-a-kind. To celebrate their return to Japan this September for an appearance at the Blue Note JAZZ FESTIVAL in JAPAN 2024 in Tokyo and a solo show in Osaka, "Live in Japan," which is currently hard to find, will be reissued as a 2-CD set in a jewel case!
