Description:
Munroe has left behind a large overview of recorder music by period, each of which is a recording of the highest musical standard. This "The Art of the Recorder" is a collection of recorder works from the Middle Ages to the modern era, complete with interesting liner notes written by Munroe himself. This time, a complete Japanese translation from the first edition of the liner notes is included, as well as many photographs of the recordings and the instruments. This is the first CD release in Japan with Japanese commentary. For this release, the masters stored at Abbey Road Studios were digitized at 96kHz/24bit at Abbey Road Studios. The master was then remastered at 24bit/96kHz by JVC Sugimoto Ikke, a renowned XRCD and ESOTERIC remastering craftsman, for a long-awaited complete reissue.
