This CD+DVD set includes a concert held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 10, 2001, the fourth concert of the Diva's Live, a charity event held by VH 1, an American TV station, since 1998. The concert celebrated the achievements of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and featured Aretha's signature songs such as "I'll Never Leave You," "Ain't No Way," and "Respect," her take on opera, "Nobody Sleeps," "Chain of Fools" with The Backstory Boys, and a duet with Mary J. Blige. J. Blige, "Rock Steady" with Kid Rock and Teddy Franklin, the magnificent "Precious Memories" with a gospel chorus, "Natural Woman" and "Long Walk" with Jill Scott, and a solo performance of Mary J. Blige's The DVD includes these 12 songs plus a moving ending featuring Stevie Wonder in the second half of "Freeway of Love" with Aretha and all the artists.Commentary: Kenichi Yasuda *This is the first physical release and video of this work, although the soundtrack has been released for distribution.
