Bruno Walter Live 2, a scorching collection of live performances with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, priced at 2 for 1! ■From the ProducerThis is the second in a series of live recordings with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, following GS-2258/59. As a repeat of the first volume, these recordings were once released on the SEDR standard of CDR, but in response to fan demand to keep them on pressed CDs, we are releasing them as a 2-CD set at a single price. For Walter, the time when this show took place was a difficult time, as he was pursued by the Nazis and struck by tragedy, including the sudden death of his daughter. However, the performance itself is filled with unbelievable passion, and the audience is drawn to the music. The Smetana and Handel recordings are also the first CD releases. These recordings were recorded on acetate discs, and although there is a certain amount of noise, only the minimum necessary noise treatment has been done to keep the original sound intact. However, Brahms' Symphony No. 1 contains an uneven rotation, which we have not been able to correct. Please understand that this cannot be corrected.(Naoya Hirabayashi) King International
