Bruno Walter Live 1■From the ProducerWhen Bruno Walter was a guest with the NBC Symphony Orchestra, his live performances were previously released on a separate CD-R series called "SERENADE" with GRAND SLAM. However, due to fan demand for these recordings to be preserved on CD, and the fact that these recordings have recently become increasingly difficult to obtain, we have decided to release them as a 2-CD set for the price of one. This was a most difficult time for Walter, as he was hunted by the Nazis and his property was confiscated. However, the remaining live recordings show a truly unique performance that mixes a fierceness that seems to knock down one enemy after another with Walter's unique overflowing singing spirit. This is a truly unique performance that mixes the intensity of a live recording with Walter's unique singing style. These recordings were recorded on acetate discs, which contain various kinds of noise.
