The live recording of Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by the internationally acclaimed pianist Kaze Jizukawa and the members of JACK (string quintet), a unique ensemble formed by members of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, has finally been released! During the period when Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall is closed (January 2021-October 2010), the "Yokohama 18 Wards Concert" series is being held at halls, public halls, and other cultural facilities in each ward of Yokohama City to present concertos performed by chamber orchestra. This CD is the follow-up to the CD release of Chopin/Piano Concerto No. 1 (BRAVO-10008) by Koutaro Fukuma and members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, which was held in January 2022, and was performed on March 1, 2022 at the Konan Kumin Bunka Center Himawari no Sato in Yokohama City by Kaze Jitsukawa and the Hama This is a live recording of the performance of Chopin/Piano Concerto No. 2 by JACK members at the Konan Kumin Bunka Center Himawari no Sato, Yokohama, on March 1, 2022.Soloist Kaze Jitsukawa won the third prize (without first prize), the best recital prize, and the best new piece performance prize at the Ron Thibault Crespin International Competition held at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris in 2015, and the first prize and audience prize at the Carrillo International Piano Competition in Italy the following year (2004). In 2004, he won the first prize and the audience prize at the Carrillo International Piano Competition in Italy, and is an internationally acclaimed pianist. JACK of Hama, which performed with Kaze Jitsukawa, is a non-profit classical music group formed mainly by members of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, which continues to provide high quality performances not only for general music fans but also for children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The group is known for the high quality of its performances. The "Yokohama 18 Concerts," which were realized through the efforts of many people involved at a time when opportunities to experience live concerts were dwindling due to the prolonged Corona disaster, have delighted many fans as a project that delivers high-quality chamber music at music halls scattered throughout Yokohama City. The live recording by young pianists and veteran performers that was realized this time is a valuable document of the "Yokohama 18th Ward Concert" and has become a famous performance that will remain in the hearts of classical music fans for a long time to come.
