This is a long-awaited project for jazz fans and audiophiles to enjoy the live performance and sound. ■The first SACD release of the popular "Great 3" disc, a long-awaited hit for jazz fans and audiophiles, in a single-layer format with an established reputation for excellent sound quality! Limited production. The Complete Sessions, which includes a rare performance in 1994 when "Great 3: Masaaki Kikuchi, Gary Peacock, and Masahiko Togashi" reunited for the first time in 22 years, and six additional tracks that have never been released before, was released in 2020 (4 CD set KKJ-9006/9) and was highly praised as a "jazz world heritage" from all quarters. It was a big hit, receiving high acclaim from various quarters as a "Jazz World Heritage" work. The original release was in 1994 on the "Aeolus" label. This CD was planned as part of the sales promotion of the HS-DAT player, which was marketed at the time by audio manufacturer Pioneer. the sampling frequency of ordinary DAT players is 48 kHz, but the HS-DAT can record at a sampling frequency of 96 kHz, twice as fast, for high quality sound recording and playback. This has been achieved. The recording engineer was Kimio Oikawa, famous for his "ippatsu dori" (one-shot recording). The sound quality is extremely high, and the work was a hot topic among audiophiles at the time. The original sound master, which was recorded on HS-DAT and carefully transferred to HDD for storage, was newly captured in DSD format at King Sekiguchidai Studio, underwent the latest remastering, and was converted to SACD in a single layer format, which is well known for its excellent sound quality. The live recording at the Pit Inn is especially well known for its excellent sound quality. The live pit-in disc, in particular, contains the entire performance of that day (approximately 140 minutes) on a single SACD in DST compressed format, further refining the excellent performance and sound that gained a reputation on CD and bringing it back to life with a more realistic and lifelike sound quality. This album was recorded at the Shinjuku Pit Inn for rehearsals a few days before the studio recording, and faithfully reproduces the order of the performances from the 1st set to the 2nd set, and adds two songs that were not included on the original 1994 release. This is a complete SACD disc that contains all the recorded tracks in one disc. The disc also includes a number of standard tunes such as "Nature Boy" and "Straight, No Chaser," which are also included in the long performance, making this disc a must-listen. You can also hear Masaaki Kikuchi's rare vocal MC. You can truly enjoy the realistic feeling of being in the front row of the pit-in and enjoying the live performance. Includes commentary by Kuniya Inaoka and Masahiko Yu, the presidents of the Nadja21 label. Members:Masaaki Kikuchi (piano), Gary Peacock (bass), Masahiko Togashi (percussion) Recorded live at Shinjuku "Pit Inn" on March 29, 1994
