Furtwängler's only recording of "The Eternal Punishment of Faust" is now available for the first time on CD from the master of the world premiere LP. Although the tape was erased by the broadcasting station (Bellomunster Radio), a copy of the tape was discovered by a collector in 1980, and based on it, the world premiere LP (FE-21/3) was released by Chetra in 1983.
