Description:

Including a secret piece by his younger brother Michael! The Haydn Brothers' Concerto Collection: Concertos by the Haydn Brothers, both of which are rarely recorded, but are masterpieces. The performance is by the "Baroque Pearls," an ancient music ensemble founded by Noriko Amano, who is active in the Netherlands, with the participation of Ryo Terakobe. The performance is characterized by soft intonation, and presents a new dimension of period performance, combining the clean sound of ancient instruments with the warmth of the music. The recording, which incorporates exquisite church reverberations, is also excellent, enveloping the listener in a luxuriously pleasant sound. The Violin Concerto No. 4 (1769) by the elder brother Joseph is the last violin concerto in existence. It is said to have been written for Luigi Tommasini, concertmaster of the court orchestra of Esterházy. The music is simple and meaningful, and is polished and polished as only Haydn could make it. Terakambe's solo performance, in which he plays with a warm tone and flexibility without rushing, conveys the charm of the piece to the listener. The acoustic balance of the whole piece is also wonderful, with the bass harpsichord blending in beautifully. The "Double Concerto for Viola and Harpsichord (or Organ) (1762)" by his brother Michael is very unusual in terms of its composition. The viola's unique range and timbre intertwine favorably with the harpsichord, and the choice of instruments gives the impression of having been taken down a peg. The writing style that makes the most of each instrument's unique characteristics is a delight to the ear, and in the last movement, Amano delivers a brilliant solo performance. The beauty of the slow movement as an ensemble sung calmly and generously is also superb. King International
