The “Broadcast Prohibited” series, which has been airing late at night on Fuji TV since April 2003, is a popular show that explores themes such as large families, stalkers, and neighborhood disputes under the premise that it “re-edits and airs video footage that was pulled from broadcast due to certain circumstances.” Its shocking content and clever setups became the talk of the town, leading to a flood of inquiries about the show. It spread via the internet and word of mouth, garnering a cult following, and resulted in the production of seven TV episodes and three theatrical films.
The theme of the latest installment is polygamy. Through footage following web designer Koji Hagiwara, company executive Yuko Nakase (who financially supports the four women in his life), former model Marina Inui, and nurse Kaede Uchino, the film reveals which of the women killed her husband.
