To mark the 100th anniversary of Latvia’s independence, “The Three Osokins”—led by Georgijs Osokins, who showcased his extraordinary talent at the 2015 Chopin International Piano Competition—have recorded “A Collection of Latvian Piano Works” to share the charm of their homeland’s piano music with the world. The album features works by Latvia’s great composers, including Bēteris Basks (1946–) and Jānis Ivanovs (1906–1983), as well as lesser-known pieces by Jāzeps Vītols (1863–1948), Arturs Maskats (1957-)—all included in this collection.
