An album showcasing the masterful artistry of RAM, Estonia’s prestigious men’s choir founded in 1944. The ensemble gave the world premiere of Shostakovich’s Ballade “Loyalty,” Op. 136, and has made numerous recordings. This lavish release features their renditions of men’s choral numbers from Wagner’s operas. They deliver a Nordic-style ensemble sound that is both powerful and crystalline. The Estonian National Defense Forces Orchestra, founded in 1993, is the national ceremonial wind ensemble. Lieutenant Colonel Peeter Saar has served as its conductor since 1996, and the orchestra performs at national and military ceremonies, as well as welcoming and seeing off state guests and dignitaries.
