Jazz Redefined by the EDM Generation. The current state of 14-year-old Ai Furusato, a new-generation pianist where tradition and innovation intersect. She studied under Danilo Pérez, who carries on the legacy of Wayne Shorter, and was mentored by Stefan Karlsson, who follows in the footsteps of Bill Evans. While mastering the core of traditional jazz, she simultaneously embodies the sensibilities of the post-EDM era. This EP is a decentralized production, with each track created in collaboration with a different artist. It features sound design liberated from gravity, intersecting with the improvisational spirit of jazz. Beyond hip-hop, and beyond that. A work that signals the rise of a new kind of jazz by the EDM generation. Two years have passed since her previous release, *theDawn*, and this is the long-awaited release from her own label, “Lowball Records.”
