The second volume of this grand project is a collection of all the Beatles' studio recordings, including outtakes and unreleased songs that have not been officially released, in chronological order, and thoroughly follows the Beatles' progress in sound. The second collection is "Sam Another Guy" (version without Paul's voice off) and "Kansas City," which were officially recorded by Granada TV at the Cavern Club in September 1962, just before their debut, and sold on acetate at Brian Epstein's record store, NEM. This collection contains all official sound sources from such pre-debut period up to "See Loves You" in July 1963, after the release of the debut album. After the "Love Me Do" session on September 11, 1962, when Ringo, who had joined the band in place of Pete Best, was removed from the drummer's chair, Ringo reeled in the "Please Please Me" session.The recording of the first album, which was decided soon after that "Please Please Me" became a single hit, that February 11, 1963, became a legendary one-day session. John, Paul, George, and Ringo played one masterful performance after another under George Martin. This is the second collection in a series of studio recordings from such a period, recorded in thorough chronological order, that is full of the charm of the raw Beatles, with simple live performances and a minimum of dubbing.
