The Rolling Stones

Description:

All official Rolling Stones recordings in chronological order! Unreleased songs, alternate versions, and the first collection of the glorious history of the Rolling Stones! Eternal Grooves has launched a grand project to collect all Rolling Stones recordings. The first volume includes demos from before their debut in 1961 when they called themselves Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys (with Mick & Keith), the earliest recording as The Rollin' Stones after Brian Jones joined the band (October 27, 1962), Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts The album also includes the IBC studio demo from 1963 with Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts, as well as all existing studio recordings in chronological order up to November 1963, when the band made their debut as a single with "Come On" but had difficulty in making a second single. The first is a home rehearsal session from 1961, about two months after Mick and Keith's fateful reunion at Dartford Station (October 17, 1961). It is a first-time performance covering Chuck Berry and others. You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover," a valuable demo from when Brian Jones joined the band and began living together at Edith Grove, is only 53 seconds long, but it is the Stones' oldest demo. The famous IBC demo (recorded by Glyn Johns), with Charlie and Bill joining, has all five songs in clean sound. This demo was bought by Andrew Oldham, who has strong leadership. Andrew took over as manager and put together a contract with Decca in a blink of an eye, and the band made its debut with the single "Come On. From here, the struggle to produce a second single began. While "Fortune Teller" and "Poison Ivy" were lost, John and Paul provided "I Wanna Be Your Man" and the second single was released. The young genius Brian's harmonica and slide guitar were the Stones' charm at this time. Simultaneously, Mick and Keith begin writing songs, and Andrew begins a strategy of having other singers sing those songs. The album includes all 19 songs from the Stones' nine-month period from the IBC demo to this point, including George Bean's "Secret Love," which Keith performed with Clavez. The Rolling Stones, who still reign as the world's greatest rock band, are still full of life and freshness in these rare versions from the early days when Brian and the band took blues and rock 'n' roll seriously. This is the first collection that will forever preserve the early Stones as a sound source, confirming Paul McCartney's statement that "The Stones are a band that plays the blues. The 12-page liner notes that chronicle the Stones' history, along with commentary on the recordings, make this a fun way to tell the story of the Stones.
