The early Pink Floyd session recordings at the BBC in the UK during Syd Barrett's tenure, which opened up the scene from UK psychedelic to progressive music. R&B, mod bands and pop groups were at their peak in the UK in 1967. American psychedelic music crossed the ocean, and in the U.K., live shows using lighting shows became a small boom, mainly in clubs. Suddenly, Pink Floyd, led by Syd Barrett, appeared on the scene, with their R&B-tinged, trippy lyrics and a sound that stimulated the auditory and visual senses. Their appearance was a milestone in the rock scene. The previous album (EGRO-0036: same title), which recorded Pink Floyd's rare live performance on BBC broadcast during such a period, was well received by many fans and is now out of print. This time, a new master has been unearthed and a new reissue has been decided. Unlike some of the official releases in recent years, this is the original mono mix from the broadcast. The reissue includes 15 tracks remastered from the original mono mixes, with a few tracks supplemented from the late promoter Jeff Harden's treasured masters. In addition to "Astronomy Domine," one of the most famous songs from Sid's period, from his shocking debut album "Dawn Whistler," the album also includes a song for his second album, which was still unreleased in 1967, when Sid was in transition due to the drug whirlwind. The second album will also be performed. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" by R. Waters, which was the forerunner of progressive rock, is a must-hear. Vegetable Man" is a rare 1967 live performance of a long-unreleased song full of avant-garde pop and a glimmer of Syd Barrett's madness. Bonus tracks include two rare demo tapes from before the band's debut (Richard Wright had not joined the band yet), which were carved on acetate vinyl. In addition, two songs from a show in Stockholm, Sweden, where the 8+ minute improvisation of "Starry Sky Drive / Interstellar Overdrive" can be heard, are included.
