The Dutch/Turkish mixed group Altun Gün, which includes a female vocalist, has become popular worldwide as a representative group of "Turkish psychedelia" or "anadolu rock," a revival movement that is currently gaining momentum in Turkey and abroad. They were scheduled to participate in the 2020 Fuji Rock festival, which unfortunately had to be canceled due to the Corona disaster, and have now released their long-awaited new album. Produced by the retro-electro Kraftwerk unit "Asa Moto," this album is even better than their previous work, taking an important repertoire of Turkish folk songs and adding a taste of 80s-style synth-pop as well as the psychedelic rock arrangements of their previous work. The result is even better than the previous album. This is a highly accomplished album that introduces Turkish traditions to the younger generation in a way that is easy to understand!
