As introduced in detail in the popular "Original Scenery of South American Folklore" (DISCOLOGIA-018), musicians from all over South America gathered in Buenos Aires from the 1930s to the 1950s, trying to create a new music scene. It is no exaggeration to say that the paraguay music scene in Buenos Aires at that time formed an important part of folklore. The most important figure was Felix Pérez Cardoso, a master of the alpa (Indian harp), a representative instrument of Paraaguay, who created a style of music unique to Paraaguay with a simple composition of alpa and guitar, brought by Christian missionaries in the 16th century. He was the one who created a style of music unique to Paraguay. This is the first CD album of Pérez Cardoso in Japan.It contains 28 of his best performances in Buenos Aires from the late 30's to his death in 52. This is a definitive edition that covers all of his best-known songs. From the gorgeous instrumental performances with the arpa as the main instrument, to the old-fashioned sounding male double chorus with arpa and guitar accompaniment, to the interweaving of arpa, flute, and violin. The album also includes an attempt to create new paraguay music by interweaving arpa with flute, violin, and other instruments, as well as innovative music that incorporates the rhythms and forms of Argentine folklore. Of course, you can also enjoy the simple yet delicately beautiful and unique melodies of early Paraguayan music throughout the album. This is the definitive edition that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the charm of Paraguayan music. As always, detailed commentary and excellent mastering will be provided.
