Leading Afro-reggae artist Tiken Jah Fakoly releases his first work in four years, since 2015's "Racine"! More than ever, this work contains a passionate message for African youth who desire freedom and change, and features collaborations with musicians such as Burundi-funded Gael Faiyu, known in Japan as an up-and-coming musician who survived the civil war, and French SSW Keledin Soltani, known for her work with popular female singer Zaz. Musicians participate in the collaboration. Tiken's music is a scathing criticism of corrupt politics, the issue of female circumcision, and the promotion of the globalization movement, and his unique ensemble, which is based on the roots reggae style and includes traditional African instruments such as the kora and ngoni, presents a sound full of African identity.
