Argentine composer José Antonio Bottiglieri, of Italian descent, was widely beloved as a pianist and conductor while also serving as director of the vocal group "Sexteto Lorelei," performing concerts on radio and in theaters. While he left behind magnificent orchestral works grounded in Argentine folk music, the core of his creative output consists of approximately 70 piano pieces. This fourth collection features works for piano solo and duets, alongside collaborations with orchestras and chamber ensembles. The Symphonic Impressions, using a theme by the Italian composer Tarenzi, displays brilliance and exceptional technique, while the Waltz from Der Rosenkavalier showcases unique harmonies through an original instrumentation featuring the harp. The latter part of the program focuses on Bottiglieri's mastery of counterpoint, the reconstruction and expansion of his early works, and his incorporation of Argentine folk dances like the "Chamame." Fabio Banegas, the composer's beloved student and greatest interpreter, is also a researcher cataloging all his works. Through this series, he systematically introduces his teacher's piano compositions.His performances, underpinned by assured technique and profound empathy, convey Bottiglieri's life and music to the present day.
