Alois Muehlbacher is a countertenor singer born in 1995. As a soloist with the St. Florian Boys Choir, she attracted early attention and was praised as a "complete boy soprano. As a boy, he showed mature interpretation not only of Baroque music but also of songs by Mahler and Richard Strauss, whose recordings are still highly acclaimed. After his voice change, he naturally transitioned to countertenor, retaining the clarity and fragility of his boyhood voice while developing a refined technique. Now 28 years old, he has performed with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra, and prominent ancient music ensembles in a wide range of repertoire from baroque to contemporary works. Here, Mühlbacher faces Bach, one of his origins, as a mature singer with a wealth of performance experience. The Paridor takes its ensemble name from the pen name of the poet Georg Christian Lemus (1684-1717), who provided the lyrics to many of J.S. Bach's cantatas. founded in 2023 by Mühlbacher and Falmberger, the ensemble focuses on Bach's vocal works The orchestra is a member of the National Symphony Orchestra of the United States of America.This album is the first major project.
