Starring Yoncheva! Classical staging accentuates the charm of the music in this royal old-time opera stage]. In this new video, you can enjoy the masterpiece of Purcell, the greatest composer of the English Baroque, with classical direction and old music instrumental performance in the Royal Opera House of the Palace of Versailles, built in the 18th century. The music scene in England entered a new era that blended the latest French royal and Italian styles. For a long time, the first performance of "Daido and Inias," the representative stage music by Purcell, the "English Orpheus," who died young after a remarkable career at that time, was thought to have been given at a girls' school in 1689, but recent research has led to the theory that an early draft was completed around 1682-84 under the influence of his teacher John Brough. However, recent research suggests that an early draft was completed around 1682-84 under the influence of his teacher, John Blow. The director of this film is Cecile Roussa and Julien Lubec, whose choreography for Lully & Molière's "The Townsman Nobles" (performed by Le Poème Armonique), which used only candlelight in the 17th century style, has attracted much attention. The style of recreating the Baroque period, using classical stage sets that could have existed at the time of the premiere and taking advantage of the height of the stage by making full use of somersaults and acrobatics, is in perfect harmony with the ancient instrumental performance by the Royal Opera House of Versailles Orchestra led by Plevnyak. The title role of the heroine is played by the famous Bulgarian singer Yoncheva, whose recent performances in Japan have attracted much attention, and she plays the tragic princess with an impressive presence and detailed expression.
