Super Trombonist Peter Moore's First Concerto Collection! Born in Belfast and raised in Greater Manchester, trombonist Peter Moore became the youngest winner of the BBC Young Musicians Competition in 2008 at the age of 12, and made his first appearance on the CHANDOS label in 2010 as soloist in Gregson's concerto (age 14!). !) In 2018, he released his first solo album "Life Force" (RUBICON). He has now retired from the London Symphony Orchestra, where he also served as Principal, to concentrate on his solo career. The Tredegar Town Band, one of the leading English brass bands, will perform with him. The program begins with a brilliant variation on the Scottish folk song "Annie Laurie" written by Arthur Prior, the famous trombonist of the day and author of "The Whistler and the Puppy," who was also active in the Sousa Band, followed by the world premiere recording of a concerto written for Moore by Simon Dobson, an English composer known for his brass band works.
