His works are rarely performed, with the exception of a few works such as the Sonata for Solo Violin and "A Child's Dream," due to the difficulty of performing them, but this album is a very valuable collection of six large-scale works with orchestra. Many of the pieces are rarely recorded elsewhere. The performers also include Svetlin Rusev, who is from Bulgaria and has released albums on various labels, and with whom he collaborated on the "Sonata for Two Violins" on the collection of Isai's works by Papavlami released on the ZigZag label, and the 2015 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition The lineup includes such virtuosos as Georges Tudorache from Romania, who was a semi-finalist, and Henri Demarquette, who has just released a Bach unaccompanied work on the Evidence label.The Liège Philharmonic Orchestra led by Pablo Gonzalez also supports the work with a powerful performance that is deeply sympathetic to the work. In terms of both planning and performance, this is an album that meets the expectations of many violin fans and quenches their thirst. (Naxos Japan)
