Once again, the Ballet is teaming up with the Orchestre Royal de l'Opera de Versailles conducted by Stéphane Prévniak, who is at the forefront of the French classical instrumental performance scene. This year's program combines Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" with a lush solo performance by Prevnjak and a work of the same title by Italian composer Guido, which was performed at the court of Prince Philippe of Orleans, Regent of France. The CD release of Prevnjak's Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" in 2023 (CVS 138) is still fresh in our minds. The Royal Opera House Orchestra of Versailles released a CD of the same program in 2021 (CVS042), soon after its formation, with Andres Gabetta playing solo and conducting, and a DVD of the performance recorded in the "Hall of Mirrors" at the Palace of Versailles was included. This time, however, you can enjoy a completely new sensation as a ballet video utilizing the stage of the Royal Opera House.The scene of the butoh dance is contemporary in the theater, which originally has an 18th century feel, and the simple design is overflowing with classical stylistic beauty.
