Kuniko Kato's third collection of Reich's works with multiple recordings! It has been 13 years since the release of her debut album "kuniko plays reich" on LINN in 2011, and in 2018 she released "Drumming," her third album of Reich works. This time, in addition to the electronic organ performance, the album includes multiple recordings of "Piano Phase" with vibraphone and an original work for keyboard percussion, recorded and mixed by Yuji Sagae under the supervision of Philip Hobbs of LINN RECORDS, and mastered by CHANNEL CLASSICS founder Ja Since the first release of kuniko plays reich on LINN Records in the UK in 2011, we have been asked "What will you do for your next album? I have been asked, "What's your next album?The world has been asking me, "What's next Reich? In 2022, when I plan an all-Reich program in Japan to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Meguro Persimon Hall, I will perform "Drumming" with a live ensemble, "Four Organs," "Mallette," and "Organ" as well as "Drumming" with a live ensemble. When I planned an all-Reich program in Japan for the 20th anniversary of the Meguro Persimmon Hall, I lined up all the pieces I wanted to play, including "Four Organs" and "Music for Mallets and Organ," with a live ensemble of "Drumming" at the center. During the session, while watching the live performance, I studied closely what I wanted to work on more satisfactorily, and also made a series of recordings by myself. These are the four pieces included in kuniko plays reich II. The lineup of songs, including some of Reich's masterpieces from the 1960s to the 2000s, is a kind of a retrospective of the transition of his compositional method. --Japanese obi and separate Japanese-language commentary are included.
