A collection of Chopin concertos by Margarita Heyenleider. This album is the result of her deep understanding of Chopin. For many years she had been searching for an instrument to play Chopin's music, and based on Chopin's words in 1831 that "the Pleyel piano is the best," she decided to record this piece on a Pleyel instrument from Christoph Kern's instrument collection, which was manufactured in Paris around 1848 and restored based on historical documents. The instrument was owned by Chopin and was restored based on historical documents. The instrument is identical in construction to the one owned by Chopin, and has a powerful sound and French elegance that allows the orchestra to balance its volume while accommodating the orchestra's modern pitch (440 Hz). She also pays close attention to touch, incorporating the fingerings of Chopin's pupil, Karol Mikli. The two orchestras performed together are the Orchestre de la Scintilla, conducted by Riccardo Minaj in No. 1, and the Wiener Akademieorchester conducted by Martin Haselbeck in No. 2.
