This is the fourth collection of piano pieces by Swiss composer Dalcroze. Dalcroze is known for his development of rhythmic music, a methodology of music learning. The works on this album show his strong interest in dance music, ranging from cheerful waltz caprices to folk songs with elements of folk music, all influenced by his contemporaries such as Chabrier, Debussy, Fauré, and Ravel. Adalberto Maria Riva is a pianist who studied at the Milan Conservatory and received a Master's degree in Music Pedagogy from the Lugano Conservatory in 2018. She is dedicated to introducing the works of unknown composers and has received acclaim for her recordings of Dalcroze's works as well as those of Joseph Wölffl and Adolfo Fumagalli. Naxos Japan
