True to their track record of releasing numerous beautiful albums and scoring hits, this album is brimming with a lyrical beauty reminiscent of Ennio Morricone, Philip Glass, and Michael Nyman. *WIOSNA*—a commissioned work for Dubois and her ensemble, meaning “spring” in Polish—is described by Baranowski as “his most personal work to date,” based on a poem his grandfather wrote in a Siberian forced-labor camp in 1941 (included in the booklet along with an English translation).
