Description:

Danish composer Poul Rouzas was born in 1949 and was nominated for a Grammy Award. Characterized by quirky works with a unique wit, he himself describes his mission as a composer as "to entertain, enrich, and stir people. But in no particular order. The compositional period of the works on this album spans almost 30 years, from the 1988 "Throne Throne" to the 2016 Piano Quartet, giving a sense of Rouzas' style through what has changed and what has remained the same over that period. The Lousasdale Chamber Players, named after the composer, is an ensemble founded by violinist Christine Pring. The ensemble is renowned for its ideal interpretation and performance of the fluid scores of Luzas's works. Naxos Japan
