Description:
Wolfgang Puschnig studied saxophone and flute at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and was a founding member of the Vienna Art Orchestra with Matthias Rüeg in the mid-1970s until 1989. He was also involved in experimental projects with the poet Ernst Jandl, and in the early 1980s played in the quartets "Air Mail" and "Saxofour" with the jazz player Hans Koller, as well as with various other musicians. On this album, the Viennese wind ensemble performs Puschnigg's works. All of the music is tonal and familiar to the ear. Naxos Japan
